Francesco`s Trattoria in East Islip

Absolutely delicious meal. Went here for dinner with my boyfriend and some friends and it was delicious! The garlic knots and bread were spectacular. Best garlic knots I have ever had. The mozzarella sticks were incredible. His red sauce was amazing! The salad that came with my dinner was so good, the dressing was unbelievable. And then the main course...better than I could have ever expected! I finished my meal with a mint Oreo gelato..it was unreal how good it was!! I highly recommend checking this place out. Cute pizza shop up front and adorable little dining room in the back. The service was fantastic as well. Our waitress was Christina, she was so sweet and everything came out perfectly. On top of the great food and great service, the prices are reasonable and the portions are huge!!! I can't wait to go back again!

Awesome pizza I recommend any of his pizza just get them with the seed crust. Also great food and prices small and quite restaurant.

2 stars bc we did actually eat. Overall - it's really 1 star. Just don't go. Service lacks. Pretty much ignored when as items arrived or when the server would come remotely close to the table. We had to stop the server from running away anytime. The garlic nots arrived unexpectedly yet these were the best part. Water came immediately yet we didn't place a drink order. Great. However, I'm don't take ice in my drinks. These are small cups so refills would be needed. Only 3 refills and each took over 10mins to do. Ordered a pizza off the carryout menus as it's not on the main menu. When it arrived hot, looking yummy, ready for a bite, and the crust is burnt. Very burnt & disappointing.

The fried calamari was very flavorful. The entire took along time to come out but I guess that's because it was freshly made. The food was great

Friendly & delicious. The music is the background was wonderful- Sinatra (of course) and 30's swing.

Excellent pasta dish ( penne rustica). Fresh, hot and tasty! Highly recommend it!

Great food and good price!

Since Covid we haven't been able to get in and sit down of course. In the meantime, we are enjoying pizza once a week....Well, well done with sesame crust. Very tasty!!

Delicious pizza! Just like in Brooklyn!

Absolutely the best Italian restaurant’! So happy I live in East Islip and have this luxury 4 min. away. The house salad is delicious, love the dressing and the olives and pepperoncini add great flavor. Some of my favorite dishes are Veal Francese, Veal Piccata, Chicken Piccata, Chicken with hot sausage,they are out of this world. Linguini with white clam sauce, penne ala vodka, zuppa de pesce, and the Alfredo dishes are awesome. Love that their are also carb friendly dishes on the menu. Can’t wait to continue trying other dishes! Service is friendly and on spot! Hidden treasure in East Islip!

Hidden gem! Great food and service. My husband and I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Frank is awesome and the wait staff is like family to us now. The food is delicious and we've tried everything on the menu from pasta to seafood and the meatballs are out of this world. Even the house salad is amazing and everything is made fresh too. The prices can't be beat and the portions are very generous - we always take some home for lunch the next day. In addition to the regular menu Mondays and Tuesdays are pasta night, Wednesday is chicken night and Thursday is shrimp night. Usually different specials on Fridays and Saturdays too. Always something good cooking at Francescos! You should definitely check it out! 🍷

Absolutely outstanding food. I actually used to wait tables for Frank 10 years ago while in college, and although I now live in Washington DC, every time I make it back to the Island, I invariably stop by to have some of Francesco's delicious food. The years since have taken me to a few of the top restaurants around the world and I even lived in Italy for a year, but I still find myself truly looking forward to it when I get to visit the place. If you actually are lucky enough to live in the area, you won't do better than to become regular at Francesco's Trattoria.

Veal Sorrentino was made with chicken broth and no eggplant with provolone cheese. Sauce was right out of a can , red clam sauce was orange and not good. Meatballs were bready and marinara sauce was orange and used for everything. I think the owner was rude and the staff inexperienced oclams and watered down orange sauce. Food was fit for a dog

Very cozy great food generous portions the staff is very accommodating and the owner is a delight!!! We went there for the birthday of our dear friend who passed away her and her husband frequented there for many years, the owner said it is on me... they are and where very good customers, we all nearly lost it, how sweet of him to honor our friend , if I could give 1000 stars I would.

Haven't had the pizza, the take out meals and heros were very good. Good sauce and quality ingredients.

Great service! On a Saturday was given the lunch deal. They even through in a garluc knot no charge. Fast friendly attentive staff.

This place is one of my favorites! Affordable rates, considerable dishes and the employees are always super nice.

Good pizza.... but chicken parm was not great. Not even whole cutlets shredded up leftover chicken for pizza toppings slathered with sauce. No good. Stick with pizza only.

Was there for a private event, food was delicious and the staff very accommodating. Didn't realize this is where our group ALWAYS purchased their meatballs which are excellent.

This restaurant is excellent in my opinion.We are regular customers and the sauce they make is absolutely delicious. Love the bread they serve with the meals and the salad is also enjoyable.Had the eggplant parmigiana and it was made to perfection. The owner is also friendly to his customers.

Love this local gem. Love the sausage and peppers over pasta. The salad has an amazing house dressing. My wife says they have a great wine selection.

This is a neighborhood favorite, for food and service. There today with 9 senior citizens. Service gracious, attentive and flawless. Separate checks provided graciously.

One of my favorite spots. Great food

Small out of the way pizza parlor and restaurant. Great food and reasonabley priced. Make a reservation for Saturday evening. This was 5 🌟 now I give it 1. I made a 6 o'clock reservation. When I got there the place was packed. Told the owner I had a 6pm reservation. The only table was next to the Kitchen. Told the owner this was unexceptable. I was the only one who made a reservation. I also said that people who make reservations should get a better table. The owner said you should ask not to sit by the kitchen when making a reservation. Will not go there again.

The food is so delicious!! Always comes out HOT, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy, like an Italian Bistro. Service is very good, friendly and accommodating. The absolute best Italian food in Suffolk county!! Try for yourself.Tricia Baylis

Love Francesco's, been coming here for years. Delicious food always, Frank is so friendly and personable. We love having our family events in his dining room, everyone always raves about the food and service. We recently had our son's baptism party there and he was very accommodating.

Love this place. Been going for years. His traditional Italian is some of the best around. The service is always above and beyond and Frank the owner is always accomadating and personal. For someone who loves Italian food I'd recommend his food to anyone.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service

It's a great Italian restaurant with a wide variety of pasta dishes for monday night. Tonight I had penne alla vodka with breaded chicken it was delicious. Great service, I happened to have awesome company my wife and great chefs. Always a great fine dining experience.

This place is great! Reasonable pricing, considerable dishes and the staff members are consistently very nice.

Mediocre beer selection. Food wasn't that great. Wings were basic hot wings with Red Hot sauce on them. Shrimp quesedilla was a little burnt. Burger came out on a burnt Martins potato roll. Not good grill skills I guess. Fries were good. Interior of place was nice. Seemed like an older locals place but it was 4:30 in the afternoon so may be different later on. Probably won't return there.

I called last minute on a Saturday night for a table of 10. The gentlemen that answered the phone was very accommodating and sat us right away. Between the family feel of the way the wait staff treated us and the quality of the food, we were very pleased that we spent our money here at Francesco's. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates good food and good service.
